Anyhoo, yes, a fairly good update. MPOTW is updated, as is the poll. Some of you may not get the poll, but too bad. I'm a big Evanescence fan, and not just because they're from where I'm living right now!

I've also got a Christmas intro by Drea that I never used. I hadn't planned on using the actual intro, but I LOVE the picture she drew! I look so cool! ^_^;; I've also added a submitted wallpaper, so go check that out. Ummmm, is that it? *thinks a bit* Yep, that's it.

Oh, and I've been updating Abnormal Days lately. *coughspamcough*

Meh! ^_^ Ok, so it's not the best Christmas layout I've done. I'm on my parent's computer, so I have VERY limited resources! :P

With that said, I'm sorry I don't have anything new for you. I'll update the MPOTW when I get back on Friday (or Saturday). I also have new art from Drea, which I can't put up b/c it's on my home computer! *ducks* I'm sorry, Drea! I'll get it up when I get back. I've also got some other things I think, but I can't remember. The past couple of weeks haven't been to good email-wise, with my dubird.net account screwing up b/c of a changeover, and this account blocking a great many emails b/c I'm trying to get my address of spam lists. o.O However, I'll get that sorted out after Christmas. In the meantime, feel free to use the chat room for a bit. I'm only having it open until I get back, just for the heck of it. It's the best I can do for a present for you guys. *sheepish look*

Man, I can't believe I forgot to post last night!

Anyhoo, lots of new things. Nice eye-candy layouts for winter this year. These will be the main layouts until spring. I might do a layout for the major holidays for a few days each time, but it'll revert back to this when it's over.

Updated the poll and the MPOTW. I really need to think of a new name for that! I've also done some new wallpapers. See, I really liked how the banners came out for this layout, so I made some wallpapers like them for each pilot. I don't know if anyone will like them, but I rather do. No, I'm not using any, mostly because I'm using some original art I did for my wallpaper. But, I am rather happy with the way they turned out.

The newsletter has gone out as well, and I may be doing something special for those that have joined. I haven't decided how that will work out yet, but when I do, I'll put something on the newsletter page. In the meantime, enjoy the new look! ^_^

Yes, the above intro is true. I was feeling fine until yesterday morning I woke up sneezing and now I've been miserable for two days. o.@ But, the promised updates are finshed! I have new fanart from Raven, and a new fic under humor. It doesn't make much sense, but it's amusing. I don't know if I'll do a Thanksgiving layout this year or not. I will, for sure, do a Christmas layout starting at the first of the month. So unless I decide to do a Thanksgiving layout, I'm not going to update until then. But by then, I hope to have a few new things to add. I do have a Christmas fic I've been working on for a long time, but it's never gotten very far. If I have time, I'll see if I can finish it. I'm not promising Shakespeare (but then, when have I ever?), but it should be relativly amusing.

Commentary
Yes. I know. Long time, no update. I have various reasons for this. Part of this is related to my taking a month off this summer. For the full story, click here. This is a VERY long post about things that are going on right now. This is in response to some emails and questions I recieved, and I hope I answered them all there.

The short of it is: No more scheduled updates. I will still update. This site is one of my babies, and I simply can't not update it anymore. But I think making myself update once a week when I have nothing is really getting to me. I have even considered getting someone to help me, but I've yet to find someone I will trust with this. Besides, the few sites that I have given away, I ended up taking back because the person I gave them to basicly let them die, and that bothered me.

Besides, everytime I try to recruit someone to do something for this site, I never get any voluteers. Sam is the only person who has helped me out with newsletter. In fact, I've noticed that without his review, my newsletter is rather bland.

Anyhoo, I do have some fandom to add, so I'll try and get that up on Monday. Oh, and no more contests. I extended the deadline, and still only had the one entry. *sighs*

Anyhoo, I'll be doing the update in a little while. I'm up at the CorteX right now, so I don't have access to anything. Then again, I may not update. I've been sick for a week, so I'm still out of it. I'll at least do the weeklies. I've got some new fandom to add, but I really don't think I can get it up tonight. I'll kinda work on it during the week so it should be up by next Monday.

Oh, and the newsletter goes out on Wednesday. The same day that I, hopefully, will be watching the next Matrix. *ehehehehehehhe!*

Addendum: Update complete. Took out the Halloween skin, added the MPOTW and the poll. Will work on email stuff during the week. Must go sleep now.

Well. Turns out I was wrong. I though I had enough time for a deadline. If you do have a contest entry, then please go ahead and submit it! I'll wait a couple more weeks. Um, how about November 14? If I had been planning ahead I would have put the contest stuff up earlier, but oh well.

Anyhoo, no more contests. Today was the deadline, and I didn't get ONE entry. *sighs* Very depressing. So I give up. Send me fandom, and I'll see about putting it up, but I'm not doing contests anymore. There's no point in holding one when no one is interested in entering.

New fanart. And I've got a couple fics in my mailbox I haven't had time to go through. I hate being sick. I tried to give this bug back to my boss, but she didn't want it back. Well, considering it took her three weeks to get rid of it, I can understand. Hopefully, my immune system is a lot better than hers and I can get rid of it sooner. *grumble*

So much anime, so little money...
Weee! Four years! ^_^ I'm going to try and have a little site history page up by next week. Notice I said 'try'. I don't know what will happen between now and then! Anyhoo, yes, new layout just for this month. I'll change it for Halloween, and then it'll be gone. After all, I gotta do a Halloween layout. I've done every year since the second year. And this time, it'll look a lot nicer! ^_^;

The weeklies are also done, and this month for MPOTWs, I'm doing some songs that I like, not necessarly from GW. A couple of them are, but not all. I had a request for some Trowa songs, so next month will be Trowa's month for MPOTWs, just in case you were interested.

Lets see, what else? New intro, weeded out the affilates again, and added a linkup above. I'll change that just whenever I feel like it. It'll basicly be sites that I like or want to help out. I've also thought about charging for the ad rotation banner on the index page. I thought I might find a way to put it somewhere in the navigation menu, but I don't know. If anyone is interested in that, let me know and we can talk about it. And, of course, the PayPal button and the poster store are still going! I've added several posters to the store, so you might find something you like. All of them are under $10, so that's not bad, is it? ^_^;

Weeklies done, and I was hunting my old collection of Clerks: The Animated Series sound archive that I made a few years ago and ran across an old Heero and Relena wallpaper I did. Not the best in the world, but I put it up anyways. Who knows, someone might like it. *shrugs*

I figure ya'll can read these posts for that and know what's been updated. It was basicly a holdover from when I was doing pure HTML and didn't want to update the intro every time I added something. I've also fixed the old update page. Why you'd want to see it, I don't know. But, I figure what the heck? At least it's something to look at, right? ^_^;

Put up lots of replies, mostly to the yaoi rant. It's kinda nice to have so many intelligent replies of different viewpoints. I think in all the time I've had it up, I've gotten a couple of just stupid emails, and one actual flame. Unfortunatly, my mailbox crashed at that time, making it impossible to post that flame and laugh at it, but it was pretty funny.

Oh, and Duo's bio page is there. I had the link wrong on the info page. *runs and hides* I also thought I had some fandom to put up, but it's just some that was floating in my mailbox for a while after I had put it up. o.O Sorry 'bout that. Not as much to update as I thought, but at least the weeklies are done.

And I can't believe most of you have never heard of Quakecon! Vist the link to find out about it. I'm planning on being there every year I possibly can from now on, that's how much fun I had!

OK, back from Quakecon, and the first thing that happened was the AC hard drive had to be replaced. o.O I wanted to do updates yesterday, but couldn't because of that, and I haven't had time since then. However, I have Sunday off, and I have a TON of things to add! The MPOTW has been changed, it just doesn't say it. I'll do that on Sunday too. If you've sent in a reply for something, don't send me another one until after Sunday! I'll be putting them all up by then. I'll also be replying to emails then, so if you've emailed me and I haven't replied, check your inbox Sunday night. In the meantime, enjoy what I do have here!

Contest time!
Ayup, I decided to do a contest. Not a fan contest, though. I can never get people to enter those. Instead, I'm doing a treasure hunt! Well, a Bawls hunt. *G* On five pages, I've put a little picture of a bottle of Bawls somewhere. Your job is to find all five, write down the EXACT URL, and send all five URLs to me. The first person to do so gets a free poster from my poster store, and a 4 meg email account! ^_^ I'll let ya'll know when the contest is done, but until I mention it here, it's on! Good luck!

I'm talking about the idiots who I sometimes seem to run across. So far, I've only gotten one thing in there, but it's really worth reading!

Anyhoo, the MPOTW is updated. I've got this week and last week's songs in the file for you. Updated the poll as well. Added a new Yaoi Reply, and some random humor. Oh, and I've got some new fan art up! ^_^ So you can check that out.

For the curious, I do have a new fic in the works. However, I write best when I'm typing in Notepad, and I just haven't sat down and worked on it in a while. And I might have a new rant up soon. I'm trying to decide if I want to do it or not. *shrugs*

Edit: I fixed the layouts in the graphics. Someone wrote to me and told me it was messed up, but I can't find that email and write them back!! ^_^; So, I'm sorry 'bout that. I moved some stuff around over a graphics by dubird and forgot to update the links here! *ducks behind the bar*

new layout time
Ok, I got bored last night and stayed up much longer than I should have and came up with a new layout. Actually, three. Light, Dark, and I'm going to introduce a very simple, almost no graphics layout for those with slow modems or (hopefully) PDAs. I'm reorganizing a lot here, so bear with me today. If the navigation looks odd, it's my doing, so remember the words of Douglas Adams: DON'T PANIC. ^_^

Edit: All done! I've also updated the intros, added some new graphics, and updated the skins page. The new layout is called Teal Insainity. (yeah, yeah, yeah)

Updated the poll and the MPOTW. Sorry, I just don't have anything else to add! I am working on a couple of fics, but I have no idea when they'll be done. -_-; Anyhoo, not much else. I've decided to do a new layout. This one's nice, but it's getting old. The general layout will remain the same, but i'll do all new graphics, and break up the navigation a bit so it's hopefully easier to go through. Ahh, the piro's favorite holiday. *G* Was trying to do a fic, but couldn't make it come out well. I don't write good under pressure I'm afraid! However, if I can make it work right tomorrow, I'll still go ahead and put it up. There's a 4th of July layout (set as default for now). It'll be up until Monday. It's not my best work, but it's not all that bad. Something different, anyways. *shrugs*. Have fun with fireworks everyone!

hello again!...yes, i'm still alive!....lets see...what's the updates today...

first of all, the galleries have been reorganized....now, the links just go directly to the pictures...all the bios and stats have been moved to the facts database....just to make it eaiser to find your way around...

new poll...still can't get the (^%^$#$% one that cpanel can install to work....so, still using bravenet....

added some new wallpapers that were submitted!....^_^...some good ones too, go check 'em out!...

oh, and i added some new pictures to the gallery....just some random ones...see if you can pick 'em out!...*G*...

Ok, hotlink protection is now turned on. I was checking the error codes from my site, and discovered a LOT of sites hotlinking my images! Granted, they weren't MY pictures that I've personally done, but you can bet that's a very large part of the reason my bandwidth is being eaten up! Now, this means that some stuff might not show up. If you run across a page that has a funky theft image on it, simply copy down the url EXACTLY, and email it to me telling me that the hotlinking was preventing that image from loading. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but I'm sick of paying for other people's bandwidth.

ummm...vacation time....
ok, i think i know what's wrong with me....i'm getting burned out....i just really don't want to be online anymore for some really odd reason....so, i think the best thing to do is take the next month off....i'll send out the newsletter probally this weekend, and that'll be it until June.....i just can't seem to get anything done for this or any other of my sites....i think part of the reason is r/l is just becoming really...well....depressing in a lot of ways.....i just don't seem to have the creativity to deal with websites at the moment....don't worry!...i'm not shutting the site down!....as long as the Internet exists, i'll do my best to keep it up....but i'm just taking a month off....i may update the poll if i come up with a good idea, but don't expect regular updates until June ok?....i'm sorry about this for those that are waiting on stuff....hopefully, i can start back with a better spirit about all this.....i'll see you again in June.....

well, i'll tell ya now, so much for Heero's E0 for Monday.....we had someone walk out at work and i've had to fill in all weekend....(told you something like this would happen!!)....plus, i'm going to have to rescan some of it....some of my pages are corrupted now....-_-;...i'll be running a virus scan tonight just to make sure that's not the problem...i've got the next two chapters of Echos of the Mind from Seiryu and a new doujinshi from Wa....i'm just going to get them up when i can....i know Monday's the main update day, but there's no rule saying i can't update other days too....i'll keep ya'll posted on when i put something up....i'm going to try and get caught up by next Monday....*knocks on wood*....

yeah, still sick....it's a virus....a very nasty one...but i'm finally getting it under control....there's nothing like coughing so hard your chest hurts!....fun and mayhem!.....*ahem*.....anyhoo, going to try and get caught up....fixed the skins so you only have two....i'm hoping that will cut down my bandwidth....i'm not going to mess with the MPOW till monday.....i'll think of something nice for those that have been waiting for a certian song!....i tried reinstalling the poll....blah....still doesn't work....and it used to...i just don't get it....*rolls eyes*....so back to Bravenet on monday....i got the archive of old polls up in text format...it ain't pretty, but it's there.....also, does anyone want to write some good episode guides?....i was going to do that myself, write some spoiler guides and put them up under 'spoiler', but i just haven't had time to go back and rewatch the series....if anyone is interested in doing that, let me know.....

oh, and Heero's Episode Zero will be up when it gets up....i've got so much other stuff to do at the moment i simply don't have time to work on it....but if you look, it is still on my to-do list, and i'll bump it up to my next item to do when i rework the list....

ok.....i think the poll messed up last week....and i haven't the foggiest idea why....o.O.....and it's still not working....i'm going to have to try and decode that....so no poll this week....oh well...couldn't come up with an idea anyways....if i can't fix it by next week, i'll go back to bravenet until i get it fixed...

also, do ya'll want to have posted the results of all the polls before?....i've still got them, and if anyone's curious to see them (a lot of them are pretty funny), just let me know...you can add a comment to this if you want...it's probally the eaisest way....

i've changed the default skin.....according to the poll results i did get, Blue Eyes is the favorite skin....i don't know why, as it's not my best work....i'm guessing ya'll like the colors maybe?....anyhoo, i have an idea for a new layout i'm going to work on....i hope to get that up next week....i also hope to have the fanfics skinned by next week....so i can cross that off my to-do list...finally..-_-;....anyhoo, once i get the new layout done, this will all change a bit....i'm only going to do three skins: a light version (dark text on light bg), a dark version (light text on dark bg), and a very simple version (limited graphics, viewable on ANYTHING i hope)....i think all the different skins are what's eating my bandwidth, as i can't afford any more at this point, i have to cut down....one of these days, i'll be able to afford more, but at this point, i'm rather strapped for cash.....anyhoo, that's about it....there's a new contact email for me, which has been changed for all the contact forms....so feel free to drop me a line....if you have any suggestions, please write me or drop a comment to this post!!...i do want to hear from ya'll, so i know if i'm doing good or not.....ja!....

hmmm.....sorry about not much here....i'm going to start working on the fanfics....skinning them and archiving some....i've also moved the MPOTW to my other server....i have more bandwidth there, and not as many people see those sites.....i really should also cut down on the stuff i do mess with.....i think what i'm going to do is download all the fics and fix them up....then upload them enmass when i'm done....that way, i'm not constantly working on them....i'm also thinking about taking down some skins....i think what i'm going to do is do a light version and a dark version of a color scheme, and ya'll can pick the one you want....that's part of what the poll is for....

changed the layout here a bit...it should work in smaller resolutions now....well, 800x600 and up....i suppose i could make a limited version for teeny tiny moniters....maybe i'll make a skin for it....what else?....updated the FAQs....and thumbnailed ALL the wallpapers!....^_^;....added the pet peeves that have been running as a poll lately to the humor section....i also took down the wallpaper of the week and the featured skin....i didn't think anyone cared about that....if you did, my apologies....let me know and i'll try to work it back in....oh, and the message board is gone.....no one used it...so i figured it just wasn't worth it....

also, a rather interesting note....i signed up for a couple of site reviews.....and unfortunatly, one of them reviewed my site during Valentine's weekend, before i went back to the old skins....^_^;;;....so, parts of the site weren't showing up correctly....and that's my fault, b/c i forgot i had signed up with them, and didn't realize how badly a few sections were looking....however, the other reviewer saw the site on a good day....anyhoo, both reviews were good....they all had some good suggestions i hadn't thought of, as well as some good comments...now, there's some things they commented on that i'm not going to change b/c it's something that's been a part of this site from day one...but, all in all, they were very helpful...probally a lot more helpful if i felt like being online a lot right now....which i don't for some reason...which is why this week's update is so late....well, that and i was REALLY tired yesterday....ice and snow made it so most people couldn't show up for work, so i ended up working front line, cash, bakery, bar running, and helping bus tables all day.....i didn't mind helping out, but it really exahusted me!....but i have today off, so i can take time to do a lot of little things i've been wanting to do...like work on converting Seryiu's other story...^_^;;...

the new fanfic is one Melody and i've been working on a lot....it's actually one i started several months ago....after my last vacation and Duo 'tampered' with the site....*sheepish look*...but at least it's done!!...^_^;;;....it's pretty funny too...go check it out....

i'm working on some new skins, but i've not decided how to do them yet....oh well...we'll just have to see what happens!.....

decided to keep using taglines for the 'title' unless i actually have a title to report...*G*...weeklys are updated....i'm running into a dead end thinking of pet peeves for all the pilots...Wufei's is the least imaginative i've come up with yet....any ideas for Quatre??....*looks around depseratly*...

aside from that, got Seyru's 'Around the World' fic up....it's not done yet...i thought it was until i finished what she had sent me....-_-;....oh well....it's an interesting story....and the only organization i've got together for the fanfics is two seperate pages....what i want to do, i don't know how to right now....so i guess it'll stay that way for a bit.....^_^;;;...though, i think i will go through and format all the storys so they at least show in the current skin....might save a bit of eyestrain there.....

i've split the fanfics up, and i'm working on adding Seryu's fics....i wanted to make a database with all the fics, and make it so you can search by author name or title or whatnot...but i don't know how!!....and i haven't got a clue where to start, really....so i need to go through and reformat allllll the fics so they match....rah....-_-;....that'll take me a while!.....anyhoo, aside from that, haven't had time to do much else...oh, the newsletter is now hosted on this server, and it's now a listserv!....so go sign up...it's pretty cool!!....

sorry today's update took me so long...had some work to do today...no matter how much i love this site, the sad fact that i make no money off it does tend to get it shoved on the back burner!...^_^;....

anyhoo, the weeklys are done.....i may have to do some top ten lists from the current poll idea i've had...pet peeves...meh...*G*....i've also reorganize the to-do list...i was going to write all new intros this week, but seeing as i have a TON of new fics to add (thanx to Seiryu!), i'm going to redo that one first....which also means, i won't be able to add any new fics until i finish...well, i'll probally add them anyways, but they won't be formatted, really....i still have to go through and finish putting them in the correct formatting, which i may forgo for the upgrade....i'm not really sure yet...^_^;;...anyhoo, i'll be working on that the next couple of weeks....aside from that, there is also some new fanart up, and a new yaoi reply...i've also decided to watch GW again so i can add some of my own commentaries to this site....after all, everyone and their dog has the basic stats for GW.....and i've noticed a lot of the personal opinions are basicly paragraphs devoted to why so-n-so is a person's favorite character and why so-n-so sux0rs....which, mine used to be, that being the main reason they were taken down...^_^;;....however, i would like to write some good commentary, so i'll give a try eventually....first, i need to get my to-do list done!...^_^;;...

i've discovered a few odd things lately you should probally know about. first of all, if you came here from the 'http://dubird.cjb.net' forwarding address, the skins don't work. don't ask me why, because i honestly have no idea!! o.O it's very annoying, though. if you want to use the site skins, you need to use the domain name: http://www.thegwg.com. also, i submitted my site to a review site, and i'm rather embaressed i had so many broken pictures! -_-;;; so i started a to-do list of things i need to fix. if you're curious as to what i'm currently working on for this site, you can check it out in the site nav box to the right. this way, if something doesn't work, you can check that page and see if it's an issue i know about and am in the process of trying to fix. if it's not there, i probally don't know about it, so feel free to drop me a line!

skinnable!!...yay!!...^_^...i finally got that working....btw, the GW Blues skins is one i had done and considered for the new layout during Anniversary Month....it's basicly dark blue....*shrugs*...it's not to bad, i do kinda like it....but the default is still Endless Waltz Greens....*G*.....
